Your ultimate experience in Namibia

Safety

Tourists in any country are a preferred target. Be on alert for handbag snatchers and pickpockets. Try to avoid carrying large amounts of cash and other values if possible. Make sure you store you belongings out of sight in your car when you leave it, and make use of the "car guards" when available.

It is safe to explore the city during daytime, and fairly safe, especially in groups, to walk in city center at night. Avoid unlit areas.

Be careful when using ATM's and make sure nobody is watching you enter your Pin. Try to use the ATM's inside the banks or in shopping malls.

The HIV rate in Namibia is currently around 25% so sexual protection is extremely important!
